International Visitors to JLC LIVE

As an attendee or exhibitor at JLC LIVE, you must do several things in advance to prepare for your trip. Generally, international travelers need a VISA to enter the U.S. However, travelers from certain eligible countries may be able to visit the U.S. without a VISA, through the VISA Waiver Program (VWP).

If you are from a country that does not participate in the VWP, you will need to make an appointment with your U.S. Embassy or Consulate for a VISA interview.

The turnaround time for most VISA applications is 30 days, but in some cases may take considerably longer. It is recommended to apply for your VISA two months before your scheduled trip in order to avoid delays in processing. You may contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for current wait times.  

Appropriate documentation, such as an Invitation Letter, can help demonstrate the purpose of your trip is to attend and/or exhibit at JLC LIVE and that you intend to return home. Once you complete the VISA Letter of Invitation online form, you should print out this personalized Letter of Invitation and bring this letter to your VISA interview as a supporting document.  Incomplete information will not generate a letter that is valid for use in your visa interview.

*The Online Form provides Letters of Invitation immediately in a PDF file which is formatted to print on standard 8.5in. x11in. letter paper.  Please print in color for this to represent a true Letter of Invitation. 

ORIGINAL LETTERS OF INVITATION:  The processing fee for original letters of invitation is $100.00 US Dollars and they can be requested and paid for at the conclusion of the show registration process.  Requests that do not include a valid email address will not receive an original Letter of Invitation.

Unfortunately, neither JLC LIVE nor Hanley Wood Exhibitions have any influence over the issue of a VISA; therefore, we are not able to contact U.S. Embassies or Consulates in support or on behalf of an individual attempting to gain entry into the U.S. to attend the show.
